Callistamon

There are currently about 50 species of bottlebrush ranging from ground covers to large trees up to 4m tall. Flower colours are usually in the red and yellow range of colours with some stunning pink flowering bottlebrush.

The flowers are brush-like resembling a bottlebrush.

Flowering in summer through to autumn the flowers were used for their sweet nectar and added to water to create a sweet drink.​
